Description
Many of the original homes in St. James Town were built in the 1880s and 1890s. With larger, opulent homes found along Sherbourne Street, many middle class semi-detached homes were built along Rose Avenue, St. James Avenue, and Ontario Street. The majority of these homes were demolished in the 1960s to make way for large high-rise apartments.
