Description
Stanley Grizzle was raised at 279 Markham St. in the Bathurst and College area. Bathurst Street is named after Henry Bathurst, third earl of Bathurst, a British colonial administrator who - while never even visiting Canada - organized for easier migration from the British Isles to Canada after 1812. Bathurst was also involved in the granting of the charter to King’s College, Ontario’s first university, in 1827. Today, College St. is named after King’s College which is called the University of Toronto today.
