Description
Some of the speakers pose at the event unveiling a new public art sculpture commemorating freedom-seeker Joshua Glover. The monument entitled Step Forward Into History was created by Quentin VerCetty and draws on composite events of Glover’s life through the lens of Afrofuturism.
The event took place at the new Joshua Glover Park, where the sculpture is located. Adjacent to the sculpture in the park is a Heritage Toronto plaque which provides historical information on Glover's life.
