Description
The end of the First World War to 1930 was a time of significant development along Toronto’s waterfront. Many different industries dotted the shoreline at this time. The Toronto Elevators were built in 1928 and allowed the city's port to join the global grain trade. Other factories that opened in the 1920s include jam makers Crosse and Blackwell, the Tip Top Tailors garment factory, and a radio factory operated by the Rogers-Majestic Corporation.
