Description
Tour members stand in front of the entrance to the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, one of Toronto's first observatories. Originally named the Dominion Meteorological Building, the telescope dome is still prominent on this 1907 heritage building - once a national centre for meteorology and timekeeping. The original circular tower was built to house a 6-inch Clark telescope.
Architects Burke and Horwood also designed Simpsons store & Edmund Burke worked on the Bloor Street Viaduct.
