Description
Built between 1928 and 1930, and designed by architects Sproatt & Rolph, the building is considered to be a classical Art Deco construction.
Originally built to house the Eaton College Street department store, with the seventh floor housing a lavish banquet hall, known as the “Eaton’s Auditorium” designed by Jacques Carlu. In 1977 the building was closed due to the opening of the Toronto Eaton Centre. It is now known as College Park and contains the newly renovated event space, The Carlu, office buildings, shops and a subway concourse.
