Description
BMO Field, the current home of the Toronto Argonauts football team and Toronto FC soccer club, is the fifth stadium to stand on this site. The original 1879 Grandstand pri-marily hosted horse shows. In 1948, it became the multi-purpose Exhibition Stadium, hosting live entertainment and sports. However, Lake Ontario’s unpredictable weather conditions prompted the sports teams’ relocation to the SkyDome. BMO Field, built in 2007, continues the site’s legacy of sporting entertainment.
